TIP was founded on a recognition that there is a wealth of existing knowledge that is not readily available to individuals via common Internet-based channels, such as search engines and one’s contacts. In some instances, an individual may want information or answers that cannot quickly and efficiently be found via an Internet search engine or by reaching out directly to the individual’s contacts, such as business associates, family or friends. This knowledge may reside with another, and the individual may want to connect to this other person so the knowledge can be shared.
A NEW WAY TO CONNECT ...
To address these needs, TIP has developed enterprise and social media platforms for users to enter requests for information and expertise in specified subject areas. These TIP Platforms can quickly identify and connect a TIP user to another having expertise and knowledge in the specified subject area. A TIP Platform can receive an information request from its user and then direct the request to one or more qualified individuals in the specified subject area. The request can be sent via a text messaging-based communication pathway established between the user and a qualifying request recipient so that the recipient can respond with the requested information via text messaging.

CONNECTING BASED ON LOCATION...
In some instances of using a TIP Platform, a user may only
be interested in information from a responder if the
responder has established some association with or
qualification associated with a specific geographic area.
This is because it can be assumed that this responder
has better knowledge about the area and thus more
likely to reliably provide desired information about the
specific geographic area. In this instance, the TIP Platform
can be used to establish a communication pathway to
send the request only to responders who have established
an association with the area, such as residing within
the area or having spent a significant amount of time
in the area.
TIP has a policy of anonymity between requesters and responders.
Intellectual property based on TIP Platforms has been developed, and TIP is positioned to partner with businesses, institutions, and individuals to further implement these platforms.
